Status

The transiting exoplanets around relatively bright stars are the ones we can best study. The plot shows the sky distribution of bright stars (V < 12.5) known to host a transiting hot Jupiter, colour-coded by the discovery project.

The blue histogram counts refereed-journal papers by astronomers world-wide that are about WASP planets or which use WASP data.

The green histogram shows the number of WASP planets by year of journal publication.

Citations to work on WASP planets. The darker red counts refereed citations to all refereed papers with “WASP” in the title, the lighter red also includes papers mentioning WASP in the abstract (data from an ADS search).
